THE RINATECH PROJECT APPROACHES ITS END

The latest meeting of the Rinatech project partners about the Prevention of Natural and Technological Risks took place this past 29th and 30th of March in Warsaw (Poland). This most recent meeting initiated the final 6 months of a project which will culminate next September with a final conference in Paris.

The various partners of the project have designed 10 on-line courses to provide information about and foster awareness of natural and technological risks. SIGTE has been given the task of developing the module on forest fires. Other courses have been developed on floods, landslides, mine sags, industrial stock accidents, industrial production accidents, seismology, hazardous materials, transport, urban fires, and battlefields.

The latest training modules are currently undergoing a process of evaluation and all of them will soon be available on the Internet (www.rinatech.org) translated into the 7 languages of the project.
