PESIG, A NEW GIS AND EDUCATIN WEBSITE

PESIG aims to provide conceptual and practical tools to integrate the concepts GI and GIS in the instruction received by secondary school students. In this way they will have an analytical and interpretive tool of the regional aspect in any area of daily life, i.e. one more resource to critically interpret reality.

PESIG provides the basic steps necessary to represent, interpret and analyse GI, dealing briefly with the following aspects:

What are we referring to when we speak about GI? What role does GI play in daily life?What are GIS? And what do they provide as systems for the treatment and analysis of GI?

They are intended for: Secondary school teachers. And at the university level: GIS research groups and GIS laboratories.
