COLLABORATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SIGTE, THE GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF NAYARIT (MEXICO) AND THE AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF NAYARIT 

From the 22nd to the 28th of this past June members of SIGTE—Irene Compte, Ferran Orduña and Gemma Boix—visited Tepic (Mexico) as part of the collaboration agreement signed between the University of Girona, through SIGTE, the government of the State of Nayarit and the Autonomous University of Nayarit.

The main goal of the agreement is collaboration in the development of a multi sector Geographical Information System to support regional planning in the state of Nayarit. During the stay in Tepic the first phase of training was carried out for technicians of the government of Nayarit who will participate in the project. As per the agreement, this training was the basis of the technical assistance that SIGTE will provide throughout the project.
