This year the conference was hosted by SIGTE-University of Girona, a member of AGILE and of its board of directors.
The conference included a preliminary day (5th of May) of workshops and three days of conferences and paper presentations. The Girona edition included the participation of Pedro Duque (the first Spanish astronaut), Burt Brassel (a distinguished prestigious geographer currently at the University of Rwanda) and Ed Parsons (Geospatial Technologist of Google).
