The Ter Route is a tourist cycling and hiking route created by the Alba-Ter Consortium and linking two poles of tourist attraction – the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava – on an itinerary which follows the course of the River Ter.
This itinerary offers the possibility
to get to know and discover the River Ter, from its source at Ulldeter, 2,200 m above sea level, to its mouth in the Mediterranean, at Gola del Ter, l’Estartit.
To introduce and disseminate information about the itinerary on the Internet,
SIGTE (the Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing Service) has developed a web portal full of attractive contents, which offer several information access tools ranging from lists of items of interest to be found along the River Ter, classified by subject matter, to photographs, literature and a map server of the area, with a tool that provides information and maps for the part of the route which is of most interest to the user.
The portal will also soon be offering access to downloadable maps for use in mobile PDA devices.
