3rd GIS Open Source Conference in Girona is up and running
The GIS Open Source Conferences in Girona are an initiative of the University of Girona’s Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing Service (SIGTE) born a little more than two years ago. This Conferences deal with open source in the field of Geographic Information Systems, understanding GIS Open Source as the free access to GIS technology.
Edition after edition, the GIS Open Source Conference in Girona prove the active and dynamic GIS community existence that turns this event into a meeting point – every March in Girona – where to share knowledge, experiences and to strengthen the ties among the GIS community – users, programmers,…-.
The 3rd GIS Opens Source Conference will be held on Girona (Spain) from 11th to 13th of March 2009. The first two days will be intended for papers and the last one for workshops; proving that
the conference’s interest don’t realize only in developing and improving new open source but demonstrating the real application and implementation in the professional field.
