D-ROUTE PROJECT WALKS
Starting signal for the technology and tourism project, D-Route. After years of work, this initiative, promoted by the private foundation Televall and developed by SIGTE and, thanks to the prize obtingutper part of the Tourist Board of the Vall de Ribes, terminating. The official presentation will take place on Tuesday 29 December at 12h. in Televall Foundation headquarters.
The D-Route project is an interactive map of routes in the Vall de Ribes. It consists of a location-based service designed for visualization, planning, monitoring, interaction, information idistribució maintenance of walks turísticsi their points of interest associated with the Vall Ribes. The routes, be promoted through the Tourist Board's website.
The system has applications and user support service management, equipment for determining the location, of mobile devices for interaction with the Cartographic informació (PDAs), a system of information transmission and detection of the proximitatals resources and equipment and, finally, is complemented by a communication network.
One feature of the project is that all transmission of the information distributed to mobile devices (PDAs) is made entirely from the Internet allowing the updating of all data entered into the system of routes and waypoints partners. Finally, it should be noted that D-Route has been developed using open source software idissenyat to allow the execution of all applications on free software.
