The Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing Centre -SIGTE- of the University of Girona is a service involving applied research, training and knowledge and technology transfer, specialized in the treatment of geographic information and the use and application of the so-called Geo-ICT - information and communication technologies applied to the management of geographic information.

With 15 years of experience developing and carrying out projects, SIGTE sustains and promotes the creative and innovative spirit needed to be at the cutting edge of a highly technological and dynamic sector.

EXTERNAL PROMOTION

Our mission and vision are not limited to Catalonia and Spain: we maintain a strong European and international vocation that has converted us into a reference node for research and training in GIS and the dissemination of results.

SIGTE is made up of a diversified team of geographers, environmental scientists, computer specialists, educational psychologists and communicators, which allows us to broaden horizons and bring divergent perspectives to the tasks we carry out, from the most everyday and automatic to the most exceptional and innovative ones.
