Day 2: Wednesday 29. Spatial Analysis based on a Desktop GIS(I)

Fundamentals of spatial data analysis. We will see the fundamental ideas needed to correctly use a spatial data analysis software.
Free software for spatial data analysis. An overview of the packages currently available and their characteristics.
The SEXTANTE library. We will describe the SEXTANTE library in detail, and see the relation it has with other spatial data analysis packages.

Basic components of the SEXTANTE library. Toolbox, Modeler, Command line interface and batch processing interface.
